II. Satan identified by other terms & descriptions.

1. Satan is a created being. Only Jehovah-Jesus God is Creator.

Ezekiel 28:13
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. (KJV)

Ezekiel 28:15
Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (KJV)

create = H bara (baw-raw')
= to bring into existence, that which did not previously exist and to do so out of nothing.
= G ktizo (ktid'-zo)
= to fabricate, i.e., found (form originally); create.

Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (KJV)

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (KJV)

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (KJV)

John 1:3
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (KJV)

Colossians 1:16-17
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.="hold together."

Ephesians 3:9

Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (KJV)

Hebrews 1:10-12
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 2. Satan is the highest order, (that we know of) of evil spiritual beings. Satan is seen as inhabiting or taking control of, or using human beings and other bodies, to influence or cause them to work against Almighty God & good.
a. The serpent.

Genesis 3:1-5
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (KJV)

b. The King of Babylon, also called, Lucifer (only use in the Bible). This is also a reference to the end-time "man of sin" (lawlessness) in 2 Thessalonians 2.

Isaiah 14:12
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (KJV)

Isaiah 14:16
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, [and] consider thee, [saying, Is] this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

..........the seed of evildoers.....

Isaiah 14:20
Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, [and] slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. (KJV)

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

John 8:44
Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (KJV)

Lucifer (only use) = heylei (hay-lale') = from a word meaning, "brightness." = translated as "morning star." "son of the morning."

weaken = (only use) = chalash (khaw-lash') = to prostrate; overthrow; decay; discomfit; waste away; weaken.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (KJV)

Revelation 13:4-8
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. c. The prince of Tyrus. (read all of Ezekiel 28:1-19)

Ezekiel 28:2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart [is] lifted up, and thou hast said, I [am] a God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: (KJV)

...........called, "the anointed cherub," and "the covering cherub."

Ezekiel 28:14-16
Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. (KJV)

d. The profane prince of Israel (the man of sin) who will be the world messiah against The Prince of peace. This profane prince will be received by unbelieving Israel and the world, but will be slain when Jesus returns. This profane prince of Israel will be the man united world ruler, totally under the control and possessed by satan himself, manifesting his full power.

Ezekiel 21:25-27
And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity [shall have] an end, 26Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this [shall] not [be] the same: exalt [him that is] low, and abase [him that is] high. 27I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no [more], until he come whose right it is; and I will give it [him]. (KJV)

John 5:43
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. (KJV)

Revelation 13:2
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. (KJV)

e. Judas Iscariot was inhabited by satan.

Luke 22:3-4
Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. (KJV)

f. Satan used the mouth of Peter and spoke rebuke to Jesus.

Matthew 16:21-23
From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. g. Other names and descriptive designations for satan.
1.) Accuser of the brethren

Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (KJV)

2.) Adversary

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (KJV)

3.) Beelzebub (dung-god)

Matthew 12:24
But when the Pharisees heard [it], they said, This [fellow] doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. (KJV)

4.) Belial (worthlessness)

2 Corinthians 6:15
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (KJV)

5.) Deceiver of the whole world. The great dragon.

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (KJV)

Revelation 20:7-8
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom [is] as the sand of the sea. (KJV)

6.) The evil one

Matthew 13:19
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Matthew 13:38-39
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked [one]; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. (KJV)

7.) A Liar, a murderer, and the father of lies

John 8:44
Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. (KJV)

8.) The god of this world (system), who blinds minds to the Light of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (KJV)

9.) The prince of the power of the air

Ephesians 2:1-2
And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: (KJV)

10.) The tempter

Matthew 4:1
Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. (KJV)

1 Thessalonians 3:5
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. (KJV)

11.) The ruler of a vast kingdom which is in opposition to Almighty God. His, is a kingdom of darkness.

Matthew 12:25-26
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: 26And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? (KJV)

12.) Leads others, through pride, to join him in his damnation

1 Timothy 3:6
Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation (damnation) of the devil. (KJV)

13.) Destructive as a roaring lion

1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (KJV)

14.) A thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
